The Reading Room at the Scott Manor House is an excellent place to learn about local history.  Visitors are welcome to come in and browse or search for desired material.

You will find:

Information about Scott Manor House
Newspaper clippings about Bedford people and events dating back to 1906
Over 60 monographs written by Bedford historians, both professional and amateur
Fonds – papers of prominent Bedford residents
Books about Bedford and Nova Scotia history

Please note the Scott Manor House is open 10am to 4pm each day through July and August. From September to May it is open from 9:30 am to 11:30am on the first and third Mondays of the month.
